Gabriela Portilla Torres, M.Sc.

Biography

Gabriela is an EFL instructor from Ibarra. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Universidad Técnica del Norte, some years later she graduated from Kansas State University, where she got her master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction with emphasis in English as a Second Language (ESL). She has studied in the USA during approximately two years where she was able to participate in an English Training program to get a TESL certificate as well as her master’s degree. She has 15 years of teaching experience in all levels of education (pre-school, elementary, middle, high school, college and graduate students). She was selected as speaker to present in the 1st EcuaTESOL Convention developed in Guayaquil-Ecuador as well as in the 45th and 47th MexTESOL conventions held in Monterrey and Puerto Vallarta Mexico. She is pursuing a doctorate in education in Universidad Nacional de Rosario in Argentina.
