Simone Belli, Ph.D.
Simone Belli (Bergamo-Italia) is Professor in the Department of Social Science and Innovation at Yachay Tech. He received his PhD Doctor Europeus in Social Psychology from Autonomous University of Barcelona with the thesis ‘Emotions and Language in Information and Communications Technology’.
He was visiting researcher at Georgetown University, University of Manchester, and Manchester Metropolitan University. He has been visiting professor at University of California, San Diego and Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, Morelia, thanks to Scholarship for Young Professors and Researchers Banco Santander. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the San Diego State University, Charles III University of Madrid and Autonomous University of Madrid, by Paulo Freire Innovative Technology/Pedagogy Post-doctoral Visiting Scholar and Alliance of 4 Universities, respectively. He has been Invited Professor at University of Bergamo and at University of Helsinki as a Professor in Summer School Course “Emotions and Interculturality”.
Summary of Interests
His research is focused to understand why emotions have a strong relationship with language, and how it is possible to express these emotions in online/offline spaces and innovative contexts.
Current Research projects
He is head of YT-IN Research Group (Yachay Tech – Innovation) and researcher in H2020 European project “Giving focus to the Cultural, Scientific and Social Dimension of EU – CELAC Relations”.
