Verónica was born in Quito, Ecuador. In 2007, she got her Bachelor Degree in Biology from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. Then, she received in 2012 her M.Sc. from Universidad de Concepción (Chile), where she worked in the Ecobiosis Laboratory and Invasions Lab. In 2015, she started her PhD at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona on the functional and phylogenetic ecology of plants.
Dr. Si Amar Dahoumane earned his Ph.D. from Paris-Diderot Univ. (France, 2010) on implementing the feasibility of gold colloid biosynthesis using living cultures of several species of microalgae.
