Yachay Tech’s Rector meets with the Governor of Imbabura

Possibilities of collaboration to strengthen links between the University and the territorial sector were analyzed during the meeting.

Eduardo V. Ludeña, Ph.D., Rector of Yachay Tech University, met with Marisol Peñafiel, Governor of Imbabura. The reason for the meeting was to discuss the possibilities of collaboration between both entities. This meeting is framed in an agenda promoted by Yachay Tech University that aims to strengthen links between the academy and the territory. In addition, the Rector of Yachay Tech presented the agenda and activities of the Symposium and Workshop on Enhanced Oil Recovery, organized by Yachay Tech University, which will take place on November 19 and 20 at Yachay EP facilities.

One of the topics discussed at the meeting was the hiring of cleaning companies at Yachay Tech University. In this sense, Dr. Eduardo Ludeña recognized the social problems, reaffirmed his interest in collaborating with the members of the community and reiterated transparency in the process. The Governor was empathetic to the social situation of the canton and supported the processes carried out by the University.

Lastly, both parties expressed their intentions to collaborate. Marisol Peñafiel showed her support to Yachay Tech University and her intentions to not reduce investment in education in the province. Likewise, Eduardo V. Ludeña assured his intention to collaborate with the Provincial Government in favor of the needs of the province.
