Grazia Trentini – Personal Profile
Originally from Italy, for the first part of her professional life she was a certified arborist and worked on different types of projects related to environmental protection and to the health and safety of parks and urban trees. Grazia then decided to pursue another great passion of hers, which is cross-culture and cross-language communication. She then enrolled at the University of Bologna (Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators – SSLMIT), Italy, where she got her Bachelor Degree in cross-language applied communication. While attending SSLMIT she was awarded a scholarship and participated in an international student exchange that allowed her to spend a full academic year at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA, where had the opportunity to collaborate with the university translation centre and became a certified translator and interpreter. The languages she works with are English, Spanish and of course, Italian. She later received her Master Degree in International Liaison and Communication from the University of Westminster, London, UK. In London she developed a deeper interest in cultural studies and intercultural communication. When she moved to Ecuador in 2012 she became an English instructor, and since then she has helped her students improve their language and communication skills.
