Biography

Lara Carmona has taught English to speakers of other languages for over 10 years at universities, companies, and private institutions in China, Japan, Austria, and the United States of America.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, and later obtained a Master of Arts degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and Curriculum Development from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.

Lara’s research interests include foreign language acquisition with diverse populations, project based teaching practices, flipped classrooms, and accent reduction.
