Rigoberto Fonseca Delgado, Ph.D.

Biography

Rigoberto Fonseca Delgado was born in Quito, Ecuador. He studied Computer Systems Engineering at the National Polytechnic School, Quito, Ecuador. He worked in the industry in the area of software development. Later, he studied the MSc and PhD in Computer Science at the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE), Puebla, Mexico.

 

Research Interests

His research area is in artificial intelligence and data mining; his particular interests include model selection and combination, resource allocation, self-organization, time series forecasting, and graph-based data mining.

 

Current Research projects

• Prediction and classification of times series.

• Develop an agent that can generate profit in the stock market.

• Develop new solutions to health problems based on the prediction and classification of biological signals.

• Social Welfare and Fairness in Decision Making.
