Diego Almeida, Ph.D.

Biografía

Dr. Diego Almeida obtained a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at Escuela Politécnica del Ejército from Ecuador. Then, he studied a diploma in Effective Teaching-Learning in Higher Education at Universidad de las Américas. He did his master’s studies in Information and Communication Technologies in Mobile Networks at the University of Cantabria during that time he studied new Wilkinson power dividers topologies for dual frequencies. He did his doctoral studies in biomedical engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where he studied applications of continuous field optomechanical experimental techniques for stress and strain analysis in the human shoulder joint. Years later, he studied the glucose prediction and the artificial pancreas for type 1 diabetic patients.

Research interest:

His research interests include computational intelligence, machine learning, biomechanics, bioelectronics and education.
