Juan Pablo Astudillo, Ph.D.

Biography

Juan Pablo Astudillo León received the Ph.D. in network engineering (Hons.) from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Spain, in 2020. He received the Best Ph.D. Thesis Prize on information and communication technologies. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of New Brunswick (UNB), Canada. He is currently a full-time Professor with Yachay Tech University, Urcuquí, Ecuador and Postgraduate Professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE). He worked as an Undergraduate Professor at the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana (UPS), Ecuador. He has been involved in several national and international projects and has authored international publications in conferences and journals.

 

Research Interests

His areas of interest include smart cities, big data, programming, artificial intelligence, data networks, IoT devices, 4G/5g cellullar networks, wireless networks, Smart Grids, vehicular networks. His research focuses on exploring artificial intelligence to improve routing, congestion, and performance in smart data networks. He also explores the application of Big Data in different areas of knowledge.
