Lourival Rodrigues de Lima, Ph.D.

Biography

Lourival Lima graduated in mathematics from Universidade Federal do Pará (Brazil), and he received his Master and Ph.D. degrees in pure mathematics at the State University of Campinas (Brazil) in the field of Stochastic Dynamical Systems. He has been in internships and scientific visits at the University of Evansville and Imperial College London, where he created a strong network with world-renowned scientists.

 

Research Interests

His research interests are stochastic analysis and probability, stochastic optimal control, Lévy processes, decomposition of flows, rough paths, and stochastic dynamics in Lie groups, among others.
