Marvin Ricaurte, Ph.D.

Short Bio

Marvin Ricaurte was born in Caracas. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV) and a Ph.D. in Process Engineering in France (Université de Pau et des Pays de l´Adour, UPPA). He worked during 12 years as an R&D professional in the petroleum industry. He participated in projects related to processing and conditioning natural gas. He has authored or coauthored more than 40 research papers at technical congress and peer-reviewed journals, associated to the conventional and unconventional capture of acid gases for the treatment of natural gas streams. He supervised some undergraduate research activities in Chemical Engineering area. Also, he is co-author of a patent for invention. Additionally, he has given lectures and conferences on business aspects and chain value in natural gas in different universities. Since November 2017, Marvin is a faculty of School of Chemical Sciences and Engineering at Yachay Tech University.
