INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS DEPARTMENT

The mission of the Department is to design, manage, execute and evaluate strategies and procedures that promote the participation of the University in local and international cooperation matters in order to fulfill its objective of internationalization to guarantee the institutional positioning of the University and the mobility of the members of the university community.

In addition, it is in charge of the Internationalization policy and strategy through the execution of international activities in order to promote academic and research cooperation alliances with recognized Higher Education Institutions and with international networks.

INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS

One of the roles of the International Relations Department is to promote the signing of agreements with foreign institutions and companies of interest to our university, with a focus on academic cooperation, research, community engagement and/or self-management.

INTERNATIONAL NETWORKS

Another role of the International Relations Department is to promote the work of the university community in local and international networks to obtain external financing or technical assistance resources, donations and competitive funds.

ANSO

ANSO is a non-profit, non-governmental international scientific organization founded in 2018 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 36 other international science and education institutions from around the world. ANSO came into being under the principles of “joint consultation, joint effort and joint sharing” championed by the Chinese “Belt and Road Initiative”.

REIES

REIES is a non-governmental, pluralist organization, comprised of both public and private universities, whose objective is to facilitate the internationalization processes of higher education in Ecuador by providing a space for collaboration between Ecuadorian institutions and the rest of the world.


UNAI

The United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) is an initiative that aligns institutions of higher education with the United Nations in supporting and contributing to the realization of United Nations goals and mandates, including the promotion and protection of human rights, access to education, sustainability and conflict resolution.

World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations. Founded in 1970 under the auspices of the United Nations, WAITRO is a global membership-based association of research and technology organizations and research universities that offers a wide range of services and programs to support and facilitate collaboration between members, partners and beyond.

REDIA

The general objective of REDIA is to consolidate research lines and scientific and technological application against SARS CoV-2 (Covid-19) through a multidisciplinary collaboration that contributes to the debate on the national agenda in terms of sustainable economic, social and urban development through research, application and scientific dissemination around this global public health issue.


RIPA

The objective of the “Research Network in Agroindustrial Processes” (Red de Investigación en Procesos Agroindustriales) is to strengthen research and training, within the fields of Engineering and Innovation, Food Sovereignty, Food Safety, Productive Chains, Biotechnology, Functional and Nutraceutical Products, and the use of by-products and the environment in the agro-industrial field with a sustainable approach.


FULBRIGHT AMBASSADOR

Fulbright Ambassadors are representatives of the program and their mission is to disseminate the opportunities offered by the Fulbright programs within the university campus or institution where they work or in the city where they reside, providing information and guidance to potential applicants.

Bryan Medina was a 2017 Fulbright Scholar from the Fulbright University Faculty Program, through which he earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wyoming. REDU

The Ecuadorian Network of Universities for Research and Postgraduate Studies – REDU comprises 35 public and private higher education institutions in the country. As science and technology advance, it is essential to integrate knowledge into a multidisciplinary process that includes scientific, technological, social and cultural tasks, in order to broaden their development prospects.

ACS

ACS International Student Chapters are organizations for college/university students studying the chemical sciences. Members participate in a wide range of programs and activities that enhance their experience and prepare them for successful careers.


IEEE

A Student Branch is a group officially constituted before the IEEE worldwide, made up of students from different undergraduate and graduate academic programs, whose main objectives are permanent professional updating, research, development and implementation of new technologies.
