Liliana Escobar

Biography

Liliana Escobar is from Cuenca, Ecuador. She has been working as an English Teacher for more than 14 years. She graduated from Universidad del Azuay where she earned her Bachelor´s Degree in Design. She also pursued a career as an English teacher at Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja.  In 2014, she obtained her Master´s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction (ESL), at Kansas State University. Liliana has worked at Pre-K, elementary, high school and University level at public and private Institutions. She has also written several opinion articles for a local newspaper in Cuenca since 2010. During her teaching career she has had the opportunity to attend to different conferences and congress about teaching English. Creativity is the most important tool in her classroom, therefore, colors, shapes, and art will be always part of her teaching practice.

 

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Her research interests include the use of L1 in the classroom, transfer theory, learning styles and multiple intelligences applied in the foreign language acquisition process, the use of art and creativity to teach in an EFL/ ESL Classroom.
