Paúl Mejia received an acknowledgment plate

The YT staff member received this acknowledgment from Imantag community due to his work on the student formation as a part of our community outreach program.

On July 26th, 2017, while high schools all over the country were celebrating their graduation ceremonies, a small institution in Imantag community was celebrating more than that. Called “Sumak Yachana Wasi”, this high school is located in the Colimbuela area in Cotacachi. On the past year, the school’s overall academic performance increased considerably, they say that is due to the work of one Yachay Tech staff member: Paul Mejía.

Paul has worked in Yachay Tech since 2014. He devotes himself to the improvement of the student’s abilities from Urcuquí and Yachay Knowledge City neighboring communities to take the National Exam for Higher Education. All of this to help the community improve their academic skills and widen the career options for Urcuqui’s young ones.

He has been doing this for three years and for his hard work he will be awarded a plate on this occasion. We as Yachay Tech University are very proud of Paul’s work and his effort towards making Urcuquí a better place.
