ENES Training Program
Yachay Tech, as part of its commitment to work together with the community and improve the quality of life of the citizens of the San Miguel de Urcuquí Canton, has created a training program for the citizens with the aim of training them with the competences to access quality higher education.
The initiative was launched by Paul Molina, academic director of Yachay Tech, in 2014, who proposed to carry out a training program in the area of the city of knowledge, targeting students who are attending the last year of high school , or who have completed secondary education, and who aspire to successfully pass the National Exam for Higher Education (ENES). With the change of policy issued by SENESCYT, this project has also been extended to train for the SER BACHILLER test.
The program trains the citizen in subjects related to numerical, verbal and abstract reasoning and Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Social Studies and Language Literature.
The project has showed great results as 90% of the students who comply with the training program have achieved excellent results, obtaining high scores of over 900/1000, and successfully being admitted to different universities nationally, also including Yachay Tech.
The preparation of this program is directed byPaúl Mejía, tutor at Yachay Tech, who has worked in secondary education training for more than 8 years. Additionally, the project has grownto incorporate junior Yachay Tech students as tutors”.
The university, committed to the professional and academic development of the people closest to the project, offers the training free of charge and without age limit.
