The Schools of Biological Sciences and Engineering and Chemical Sciences and Engineering of Yachay Tech University organize the international symposium “RECENT ADVANCES OF IN CHEM/BIO RESEARCH”, to be held at the Innopolis auditorium, in Ciudad Yachay (Urcuquí), on February 20 and 21, 2019. The event seeks to discuss the scientific production of academics from different countries in the disciplines mentioned. Additionally, the symposium is an opportunity to establish cooperation ties between researchers.
During the symposium, lecturers will discuss topics related to peptides, drug discoveries, evolutionary genomics, and natural products, among others. The keynote speakers of the event will be: Fernando Albericio, Ph.D., from the University of Barcelona, and the University of KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa); Frank Alexis, Ph.D., from Yachay Tech University; Gerardo Corzo Burguete, Ph.D., and Elba Cristina Villegas Villarreal, Ph.D., from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
In addition to the keynote speakers, the agenda includes the participation of 8 lecturers from Yachay Tech and Ikiam Universities. The speakers will present the results of their research as examples of recent research in Biology and Chemistry. The approximate registration fee for the event is USD $70.
This scientific convention is aligned with Yachay Tech’s efforts for internationalization and applied research. Many of the topics that will be reviewed in the congress are part of the applied areas of research that the institution proposed in its Strategic Plan 2018-2021.
