During the talk, Xavier Torres discussed the field of disabilities from the perspective of discrimination hidden behind daily activities. The automatic expressions and the lack of reflection in the construction of educational inclusive spaces. “Making access ramps isn’t enough” where the words Torres used to express that inclusive institutions are built over education and communication initiatives more than just infrastructure design.

Additionally, in the frame of the conference, Victor Aguilar resumed the technical inspection CONADIS made to Yachay Tech on July the 18th, 2017. The infrastructure director mentioned that despite Yachay Tech University counts with many facilities, it can’t be considered an inclusive institution yet.
