Part of the profit from the registration was donated to Youth Against Cancer.

The GO Run Yachay Tech 5k & 10k was held on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the university facilities and around the Yachay polygon. The race was organized by students from the Track and Field Club, with the collaboration of other clubs and the University. The race had around 150 participants from different parts of the country and hosted different categories: Junior, Senior, Master, Kids and University, Police and Military. Part of the profit from the registration was donated to the Youth Against Cancer Foundation.

The event was sponsored by organizations from the private and public sectors, which handed out products to the 100 runners who crossed the finish line. In addition, promotional products were given to all participants. The winners of the top places in each category received a monetary compensation from the organizers.

The winners of each category, both men and women, were: Youth: Robert Alexander and Kimberly Carrera; Senior: Jhonathan Huera and Paula Jara; Master: Johan Curicho and Nancy Rosero; University, Police and Military: Gerardo Molina and Madelein Enriquez.

This was the second edition of the GO Run, which was very successful the first time.
