Yachay Tech in the organization of workshop in nanoscience in USA

Henry Pinto, School of Physical Sciences and Nanotechnology, is part of the NAMUS organization committee.
Yachay Tech is part of the organization of the third version of the NAMUS (Nano Manipulation of Atom & molecule using STM) workshop, in collaboration with the Institut des Sciences Moléculaires d’Orsay (ISMO), France, and Jackson State University (JSU), U.S. The workshop will be held from November 8 to 9, 2017, at the Interdisciplinary Center for Nanotoxicity building at JSU. The main goal of the workshop is to present an up-to-date overview on the thriving field of nanoscale imaging and manipulation of atoms or molecules with scanning tunneling microscope.
The workshop is devoted to specific lectures that will provide general tools to graduated and PhD students to understand and take their first steps on the development of future nanoscience experiments that combine scanning probe techniques and simulations. Students may attend to 6 various courses and 3 hands-on sessions with real DFT simulations and will test their skills on a small portable STM.
